The Elinor Bunin-Munroe Film Center

Click to enlarge With a $45 million capital and endowment campaign that will create the only totally new performance venue within Lincoln Center's campus-wide transformation, the Film Society of Lincoln Center is creating a new multi-screen facility in the heart of the Lincoln Center campus. The new Film Center is named after Film Society Board Member and award-winning filmmaker and designer, Elinor Bunin-Munroe.

Designed by renowned architect David Rockwell of The Rockwell Group, the state-of-the-art center will house two fully equipped screening rooms, gallery exhibition space, a café and a flexible amphitheater space. Together with the Walter Reade Theater, this expansion affords the Film Society an unprecedented capacity and curatorial freedom not feasible in a single-screen venue. Additional showings of important films, more experimental, multi-media programming and a dedicated educational agenda are only a few of the plans for the new center. For more information, contact the Film Society (212) 875-5610.

During construction at Lincoln Center the Walter Reade Theater remains open for business!

Walk west on 65th Street for access to the plaza level.
